Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you based?
We are based in a privately owned house close to Enfield Town.
Can I come and buy cakes at the above address?
We’re afraid not. At the moment we do not have a shop and we do not keep anything on stock. Please do not show up here without an appointment!
Any plans to open a shop?
Eventually, yes. But right now we are concentrating on building up our business.

Do you offer delivery or can I collect from you?
Yes and yes.
We will deliver to most of North London and some of Hertfordshire. We offer free delivery in EN1, EN2 and EN3. We charge a small delivery rate on areas outside these postcodes.
We have space for a car so you can park up and collect your order. You can pretty much collect from us anytime, day or night (by arrangement).
We can sometimes deliver further but we have to charge accordingly. We do not employ a courier company but invite you to find one that suits your budget.
Do you do mail order?
We sell selected cakes on EBay for mail order. These can be sent anywhere in the UK. Please click on the link below to view our online shop.

Who does the baking?
All the baking is done by me, Rebecca. I am a trained pastry chef, chef and baker.
How many days notice do I need to give to place an order?
We pride ourselves on being an ‘everyday’ cake service. We don’t think our cakes need an occasion or excuse! We can do most small cakes with one - three days notice, though it heavily depends how busy we are at the time.
For larger or custom cakes please give us as much notice as you can. We can provisionally hold a date for you whilst you are still deciding what to order.
Please note that we do not keep anything on stock. If you need a large or custom cake for the next day it's very unlikely we will be able to make it in time but get in touch and we may be able to offer an alternative.
How do I pay?
We accept payment by cash, cheque and paypal (our online card payment system).
We require payment in advance on all orders, unless otherwise agreed.
Is there a minimum order?
No. But certain products (such as cupcakes) can only be sold in set minimum quantities.
Do you make wedding cakes?
We get asked this a lot. We don’t make any tiered wedding cakes. We simply don’t have the space to make them. We can supply wedding cupcakes and un-iced cakes for you to decorate yourself. If you would like us to recommend someone to you for a wedding cake please get in touch.
Do you bake cakes for speciality diets?
Yes. We make gluten free, wheat free, egg free, dairy free, soya free, diabetic, sugar free, organic and vegan cakes. There is a list of these on the Special Diets page. If you are after a specific product please don’t be afraid to ask.
Are your cakes suitable for nut allergy sufferers?
We will always say in the description if a cake contains nuts. We use no nut oils. However, our kitchen is not nut-free and our cakes may not be suitable for those sufferers who are highly sensitive.
How long will your cakes keep?
Cupcakes and layer cakes keep for 3-5 days. Tray bakes and loaf cakes will keep for about 1 week. We will give you an eat-by date and storage instructions when you receive your cake.
Can your cakes be frozen?
Most of them can be. If you intend to freeze your cake please ask when ordering so we can offer freezing guidelines.
Can you create special items?
Yes. If you have an idea, a family recipe or a recipe from a magazine you would like us to follow, just get in touch and let us know. We can create almost anything!
Do you have any ideas to make my cake a little bit special?
Plenty! We can offer thousands of decorating ideas to make your cake stand out. These include sugar paste pictures/logos, sprinkles and writing.
Do you have any cake stands we can hire?
We have large acrylic stands to loan for large orders of Cupcakes.
We also sell small tiered cardboard cake stands for £8.
Can you gift wrap?
Every cake comes in a white cake box. For no extra cost we can add a suitable coloured ribbon and a gift tag but you must ask!
Do you offer seasonal products?
Yes we do. They reflect holidays, special occasions and what fruits are in season. We have a list of these dates on the Seasonal Products page. Please check it to see what new things we add each month!
Were you the cake company we saw at the Enfield Town Show?
That was us! We had a stall in 2006, 2007 and 2008. We have also been at Monken Hadley School in Hadley Wood, the Castle Street Party in Hertford, St Andrews School in Enfield and Forty Hill School in Enfield. We are happy to receive information about any events you know about!
